Together, We Face The Fight Beautifully™

Ronald McDonald House Charities®

Thinking globally, acting locally to provide resources for children and their families

Their Mission: The mission of RMHC is to create, find and support programs that directly improve the health and well-being of children and their families.

Their Vision: A world where all children have access to medical care, and their families are supported and actively involved in their children's care.

WHAT THEY DO: Keeping families together and near the care they need. Providing stability and resources for families everywhere. Helping a sick child fight their illness takes a big enough emotional toll on a family. Adding a financial strain can make it all almost too much to bear. RMHC can help address those problems, whether they involve housing that’s near a hospitalized child, the expense of staying together in another city, or even getting basic medical and dental care in a vulnerable community.

Northwestern Medicine

Anchored Northwestern Memorial Hospital, the No. 1 hospital in Illinois six straight years by U.S. News & World Report, their integrated health system is on a relentless pursuit of better care.

Living Well Cancer Resource Center

Comprehensive support services for people facing cancer and their families. All their programs and services are provided to you at no charge, thanks to generous community donations

WINGS provides a pathway to independence for adults and children who are escaping from domestic violence and abuse. Their goal is to provide the tools and support necessary to ensure that victims can escape their abusers and begin building new, violence-free lives.

WINGS has 47 houses and apartments throughout the Chicagoland metropolitan area. Their transitional and permanent housing programs help victims and their children continue to move forward with rebuilding their lives and help end the cycle of violence after escaping a violent situation.

USA Boxing

USA Boxing enables United States' athletes and coaches to achieve sustained competitive excellence, develop character, support the sport of boxing, and promote and grow Olympic style boxing in the United States. The responsibility of USA Boxing is not only to produce Olympic gold, but also oversee and govern every aspect of amateur boxing in the United States.

The Foundation has provided more than $400,000 to date to build women's programs nationally and has given over $2 million in direct support to numerous programs for young boxers throughout the U.S.

USA Judo

USA Judo, a 501-c-3 non-profit organization, is governed by a Board of Directors. USA Judo is a world leader providing maximum opportunities to all its members with programs from core development to Olympic gold.

Judo is a tremendous and dynamic combat sport that demands both physical prowess and great mental discipline.

The word judo consists of two Japanese characters, ju, which means "gentle", and do, which means "the way". Judo, therefore, literally means the way of gentleness.

But beyond the development of physical prowess and athletic ability, judo students learn much more. They learn how to control their feelings, emotions, and impulses though the judo moral code. They learn about values of perseverance, respect, loyalty, and discipline. Through their experience, they learn about politeness, modesty, and many other wonderful values that contribute to their development as successful citizens of society.

The Judo Moral Code is a set of ethics created by the sport’s founder Jigoro Kano. He believed they were vital in the development of judo players and individuals both on and off the mat.

The code itself is made up of 8 parts:

Courtesy, Courage, Friendship, Honesty, Honor, Modesty, Respect, Self-Control

A21 is a nonprofit organization fueled by radical hope that human beings everywhere will be rescued from bondage and completely restored. They are the abolitionists of the 21st century. They work to free slaves and disrupt the demand.

A21 believes in a world without slavery. For 10 years now, they've rolled up their sleeves and set their feet to action. Why? Because in a single moment a number can turn into a name, a tragedy into a victory, and a belief into an action.

Freedom. That's their goal for every human being on the planet.

Human trafficking is destroying lives, but freedom will have the final word.  Together, we are eradicating human trafficking through awareness, intervention, and aftercare.

YWCA works every day to eliminate racism and empower women. Through advocacy and local programming, we create real change for women, families and communities.
